Our Team

Kelly Gustafson serves as the Wexford Elementary School principal in the Pine-Richland School District in Pennsylvania. She has had the privilege of working in school districts as a teacher and administrator for more than 34 years. 

Kelly credits professional, collaborative relationships formed with school librarians and teachers as motivators to advocate for all children to have access to books. Kelly’s passion for school library partnerships fueled her active role in the American Association of School Librarians School Leader Collaborative. Kelly champions the value of librarians as a member of the Pennsylvania School Librarians Association. 

Not only does Kelly nurture a school environment that empowers both educators and learners to wonder, explore, innovate, question, collaborate, problem-solve, teach, and create but she is an active participant in creating such a learning environment. She always has a book in hand or a favorite author to share with teachers, administrators, parents, and students to help make connections. Her experience as a special educator, adjunct professor, and principal leader inspires Kelly to share her voice when building a community of support for young learners.
