Dr. Kevin M. Talbert has more than two decades of teaching experience, first as a high school social studies teacher in Ohio, and currently as Professor and Chair of the Education Department at The College of Idaho. Dr. Talbert has an undergraduate degree in History and completed his M.Ed. in Curriculum and Teacher Leadership and PhD in Educational Administration with a focus on Curriculum and Cultural Studies. He has the pleasure of teaching both pre-service and in-service teachers and helping them reflect on the humanistic aspects of their teaching.
Dr. Talbert began his involvement with the Educators Neighborhood in 2021. He has been a panelist for EN events and presented on Mister Rogers and the Call to Teach at The Work of Fred Rogers Conference in 2023. Recently, his article, Engaging Mister Rogers Neighborhood As a Great Curriculum: A Curriculum Critique, appeared in The Journal of Curriculum Theorizing.
